Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004
MRCAThe Act covering service-related injuries and illnesses for service on or after 1 July 2004.
Most current and recently transitioned ADF members fall under MRCA. It covers permanent impairment, incapacity payments, healthcare and a Special Rate Disability Pension for the most severely affected. Different rules apply to warlike, non-warlike and peacetime service.
