We're not veterans. This hub is for those who are.
A free resource pulled together from the lessons, links and patterns I dug far and wide for in the work I do with the veteran community.
Where this came from
I'm Toby Jones, and I run Witton Lane Advisory, a consultancy that works inside the DVA funded financial advice framework. My background is fifteen plus years in complex financial systems, working with advice firms, licensees and planners across Australia.
What started as finding ways to help veterans build stronger financial foundations, rent assistance, DoHA, super, the everyday machinery of a Defence life, kept opening doors into the rest of the system. ADF transition. DVA claims. Paid and unpaid advocacy. The longer I spent listening, the more I saw the same pattern: the support is there, but it sits in silos, and nobody hands you a map on the way out.
Why I built this hub
I wanted a place to aggregate the knowledge I'd gathered across that journey, live, real and genuinely valuable. Not just for the veterans I work with at Witton Lane, but for the whole community and the people who quietly hold it up. Advocates. Planners. ESOs. Clinicians. Family.
So this hub is a free resource. It is not an arm of Witton Lane and it is not a lead magnet. It is the lessons, links and patterns I kept wishing existed in one place, given away.
What this hub is, and is not
Most of what's here points away from me. When ATDP advocates, Open Arms, KSC Law, Withnall, VetComp, the Institute of Veteran Advocates, CSC, RSL or Mates4Mates are the right next stepping stone, I'll say so plainly. When Witton Lane's own DVA funded advice work happens to be the right fit, it'll be marked clearly as Featured, and never required.
What this hub is not
Not a government agency. Not a substitute for medical or legal advice. Not a crisis line, if you need urgent help, call Open Arms on 1800 011 046, Lifeline on 13 11 14, or 000.
